Baked Vanilla + Caramel Protein Cheesecake

A great tasting baked cheesecake that is high in protein and can be easily modified to suit your own taste! Compared to a traditional cheesecake, you'll find that this recipe is more filling, lower calorie and with a friendly macronutrient profile to keep your physique aesthetic! Enjoy

Baked Vanilla + Caramel Protein Cheesecake

50 grams Bran Flakes (or low fat digestives)
60 grams Cottage Cheese
60 grams Fat Free Greek Yoghurt
1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Half Pot of Gefen Natural Apple Sauce
1 tbsp Splenda or Stevia
Almond Milk (optional)



  • Add fruit slices like strawberry/banana to the top of your cheesecake for a fruitier flavour
  • Add low calorie/calorie free syrups over the top of your cheesecake. Experiment!
  • Experiment with different flavours of whey/casein protein!
  • You can even make your own homemade whip to go over the top out of Quark fat free cheese and syrup/whey or replace the cottage cheese/yoghurt base with Quark! Experiment!

Video + Step by Step

1 Crush up your Bran Flakes or Low Fat Digestives (tastier but slightly more fat than Bran Flakes) into fine crumbs.

2Add half of your apple sauce to the digestives or bran flakes and mix together.

3 Put the base mixture into the baking bowl and flatten it with a spoon. (Ready for the cheese to go on top)

4 Crush or blend the cottage cheese until there are no lumps left.

5 Add the Fat Free Greek Yoghurt, Splenda, Vanilla Extract, the Scoop of Whey protein, egg or egg white (optional) and the rest of the apple sauce to the Cottage cheese and mix together.

6 If the mixture is too thick, add a small amount of almond milk (Remember not to make it too thin – It needs to bake!)

7 Pour the mixture on top of the base and flatten the top with the back of a spoon or a spatula.

8 We’re ready to bake! Put the cheesecake in the middle shelf of a pre-heated oven – (The temperature and time needed will really depend on the ingredients, type of oven and amount made.) A high heat for 45 mins – 1hr is usually sufficient. Use a toothpick to be sure it is fully baked

9 Allow the cheesecake to cool after removing from the oven and then place in the refridgerator for at least 4 hours but preferably overnight.

10 VOILA! Take out of the fridge and add Walden Farms Caramel Flavour calorie free syrup. Enjoy your Cheesecake!
